We are proud to announce the latest release of ProxySQL version 2.6.1

ProxySQL is a high performance, high availability, protocol aware proxy for MySQL, with a GPL license! It can be downloaded from the ProxySQL Repository (instructions here) or for a Docker image check out the Official ProxySQL Docker Repository. ProxySQL is freely usable and accessible according to the GNU GPL v3.0 license.

Release Overview Highlights


ProxySQL v2.6.1 is a minor release comprising of minor features and bug fixes. This release is the second release of the 2.6 branch and includes some fixes that were introduced in the v2.x branch after 2.6.0 was released.

  • Fixed TAP test suite compilation under clang
  • Added session_id to error log entry for lagging|offline server detection
  • Several fixes and enhancements for mysql_servers_ssl_params
  • Fixed connection_pool Prometheus metrics used/free not getting properly reset

Upgrade Notes


Upgrading from v2.5.x or previous versions via repository:

  • Make sure to change the repository URL from proxysql-2.5.x (or previous) to proxysql-2.6.x
